That Turkish shop on London Rd, best bread I've tasted.

Butler's Wine Cellars in Queen's Park - top drinking.

F:censored:k it!! When I saw the title of the thread I was going to post Canhams the butcher. The chipolatas are the mutts nuts, I ALWAYS get my eggs from there and the other week they sold me a beef rib joint that was the best I've ever tasted. Friendly blokes too.

Good one. Lord B. I'd just remembered them as I posted.

Really helpful people; unlike the staff at B&Q who look at you as if you're a psychopathic rapist if you ask them a question.

On a similar but opposite vein a very big thumbs DOWN to Tesco's on Church Road. Because of Canhams and the greengrocers in George Street I only use it for day to day essentials but they are rapidly starting to piss me off!! Went in today at lunchtime to find no Orange Juice. They constantly have 50% off offers on red wine but thet bottle of wine is never on the shelf and if you're lucky enough to find a small trolley it'll have it's wheels locked.

:censored: s the lot of 'em. Makes you almost ashamed of blue n white stripes.

spoilt for choice for good butchers over here where they slaughter their own pigs every other tuesday. Great for a real fresh liver for pate.

The butcher in Crabtree lane lancing was always good but can't remember his name.

edit* yes I can it's MacGuinness

Personally I prefer Seckers in Richardson Road to Canhams .. but they are both excellent.

Also Kevins in the same road for fish ... however I have mainly been using Brightron & Newhaven Fishsales @ Shoreham Harbour for seafood recently:thumbsup:

I like Canhams too for their sausage rolls but here in Seaford it's

The minted lamb pasties are good too.

Can I aslo nominate the Real Patisarie(sp) in Trafalgar Street especially their chocolate and almond croissants.
