You have to ask yourself whether if Mayo was unknown to us and had been on trial for us against Worthing whether you would have thought he was good enough to be offered a contract. I think most of us know the answer to that deep down.
If Mayo is re-signed it will come back to haunt Adams as time and again he is outpaced by the opposition's winger or makes a clumsy challenge and gives a penalty away. Sad as it may be, it's time to cut the apron strings and move on. Richards should be signed up even if we have to offer a fee and a decent salary to get him... and soon.
