Haswell Goes Back to AFC Wimbledon

having seen him play the whole of both games, I didnt think he would make the grade. He seemed to get caught out of position a lot especially in Athlone.

His wages wouldnt have been that much, so it could have been a good signing as back up, if we actually sign a left back

I guess that paves the way for Mayo to come back

one of the 3 players MA has been hinting about could be a left back then, i would be surprised if it wasn't.

as for Haswell, seemed inexperienced, but could have held onto him for development, it wouldnt do much harm as the wages would have been low.

He looked alright against Wurving - at least he's fairly athletic and capable of getting up and down the flank. He was supporting McLeod quite well.

Mind you, I could be in the mindset of "ANYTHING but f***ing MAYO, please.

Spoke to my mate who is an AFC Wombles fan. I told him Haswell was having trails with us and here's what he said..

"He's athletic, quick but a bit of a headless chichen and not entirely sure that he is infact a footballer". His speed makes him look better than he actaully is !!!!!!!!

Maybe a little harsh but his words not mine and he does see him play week in week out as he goes to all home and away games.

I thought he looked preety useful at Worthing and would have been useful as back-up to whoever we bring as as first choice left back (hopefully Richards). That fact that he's been sent back does I guess mean that Mayo will be kept on as cover instead.

From what I saw of him at the Worthing game he was not good enough for first choice LB. Could have been a back-up, but Mayo can do that.

Thing is Mayo is currently needed more than Hart as we have no left backs but have Cox, Robinson or McLeod (and possibly Currie) who can play on the right of midfield.

I thought Haswell did just about Ok apart from one really bad pass across the box 1st half, but given the opposition he should have shone I guess. Totally anoymous in midfield in the 2nd half. Kerry at LB looked much better imo and I'm not a Kerry fan so I can understand why Haswell is not being given further oppotunities.

Given that Adams hopes for up to 3 more signings, surely LB is the priority, MA is not a mug.

mayo will get a deal and it just shows how MA is trying to relive past glory, it could backfire

Meopham, Kent.
I thought he looked useful vs Worthing. I certainly expected him to sign.

I guess that does leave us with Mayo

Don't say that! All you've got to add is that you "love the club" and "bleed blue and white" and you'll be allowed to mug a wage off the club for the next 12 years!

Yeah, because you know so much more than the professionals, getting REALLY REALLY boring now seeing you constantly post like you know better than the people who run the club.

Having an opinion is fine but to just keep knocking at every opportunity is dull. I think we all know by now you don't rate Kerry.
