I'm wondering if this will sell out before Saturday as this is a 1st team fixture?

Is the ground comfortably walkable from Orr station?

It is indeed a first team fixture and Poyet has hinted that Vicente may play, don't know about the ground though, sorry

Thought they were mixing the 1st team and Dev Squad up for the games at the weekend?

Going to this, only been to The Pilot Field once. No idea what it's like now, heard the main stand is half falling down.

The Pilot Field is walkable from Ore, but the fast trains to Ashford don't stop there.

As for Pubs in the Ore area? Erm, nothing basically. Either the Bar at the ground or getting off at Hastings where there are plenty of Pubs close to the station, then a cab or bus to the ground

Directions to the ground can be found here...... On the club website under club info/ getting to The Pilot Field , sorry not allowed to post links just yet :(

There is on street parking available around the ground, but please be warned though that wardens will fine anyone parking with wheels on the pavement. I suggest Hastings station is a more straight forward route to get to the ground albeit a little further from than Ore and has a lot more public transport options. The bar will be open from 1pm. The ground boasts probably the best playing surface in Sussex (Amex aside) and I can guarantee you will be very impressed with it's quality, the groundsman has won 1st prize in The Ryman league and 2nd prize in step 3 and 4 Category of the football pyramid for the last two seasons. The stand is as you'd expect from a ground that is of some age but it is certainly NOT falling down and offers adequate cover in inclement weather. Any further questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks for the information.

Do you think pre booking will be necessary based on current demand?

Like everything it's always best to be safe than sorry but remember buying in advance will save you a couple of quid.

The Pilot Field is a very simple and quick walk from Ore station. For anyone who can't be bothered to google it :

Come out the only exit, turn right, take the 2nd left ( Beaconsfield Road ) follow that to the end and turn right, then just keep on walking and you're there. 10 to 15 minutes for your average walker.

Just a quick update, I have been told that there will be parking adjacent to the ground for £1, somebody will be there throughout the game for security.

How can there be parking adjacent to the ground for £1, it's free street parking adjacent to the ground ! Charging people for parking in the post office club are they ?

I live in hastings and went to get tickets today. They said to me there is no need to book as there is loads left... Do people think that they will play a full strength squad friday at Dorchester and Saturday at Hastings?

With a big crowd anticipated there may of course be limited on street parking hence the club have been given permission to use The old Firs ground which is accessible via the road that leads to the post office club. The cost will be to cover the cost of the car park being manned throughout the game.
