I love that expression. One day I'd love to ask a rocket scientist what they describe as something really difficult that they're failing to grasp. It'll probably just be the boring old brain surgery fallback though. :(

For a rocket scientist I'd imagine they find socialising, talking to Women and drinking vast quantities of beer VERY difficult.

I reckon they might be able to work out the contents of a cheese and onion toastie though.

11,000 revolutions per second? That's more than even the Newcastle boardroom can muster.

I can just imagine all the scientists celebrating the fact we're still here with a massive fondue night tonight...

Also today they switched on "The Grid" which will be the evolutionary sucessor to the internet. This is needed to research and collate all the data from the LHC and when we get a chance to use it will download HD quality movies in 30 seconds and will allow Bozza to get NSC working properly.

Didn't they try this scientific experiment in India back in 1756 ? Must have worked because I remember reading about the Black Hole of Calcutta.:D

There was a case of missing people the other day in the underground tunnels of the large Hardron Collider but Captain Jack and Torchwood saved the day!

Latest "conspiracy" theory about the LHC...

Could the Large Hadron Collider be held back by its own future?

The much-delayed and maligned Large Hadron Collider has been hit by its most outlandish claim to date - it is being sabotaged by its own future.

Forget the far-fetched belief that it will create a black hole, two distinguished physicists have gone even further claiming nature itself is stopping the troubled £4.4billion project from getting off the ground.

In a theory reminiscent of the time travelling film Back to the Future, the theoretical physicists Holger Nielsen, from Denmark, and Masao Ninomiya, from Japan, have concluded that its discoveries could be so "abhorrent to nature" that they are coming back to stop their own creation.
