That honour goes to Les Reed, who was Charlton manager for just 41 days.
Probably longer but how long was Coppell at Man City? Always remember it seemed like a few days!

3/1 in the sack race, leading Marsch who is at 5/1. The source of the rumour is a regular ITK on their NSC equivalent who suggests an announcement at 10am tomorrow. Says their assistant took training today after a board meeting took place.

All one source but sounds like he has gone.

Yet still behind Moyes in the sack race on PP..

Both Jones and the Saints hierarchy were absolutely out of their minds to think this was a good move.
But statically he’s the best manager in the world

Can't blame him for taking a better job. It's not like he had a career as a PL footballer so had 10 years of 40k P/W sitting in his bank account.

However, his BIZARRE post-match interview was so so....umm....bizarre.

Basically "I told the directors why they should hire me and the type of football we would play and I've gone against that because I didn't want to upset the PL footballers"

So odd.

To think they probably could have got Sean Dyche ?

It things don't pick up in 5 games I think they're toast. Poorly run club, things have been in slow decline for about a decade now

No, Dyche was perfect for Everton. Southampton are looking to try and get back to what they were able to do in their early PL years this time around. They spent the last couple of windows signing the best young players from various academies. It isn't a bad idea but trying to change philosophy overnight will always have risks. They needed to get the appointment right and it doesn't look as though they have, I can't think of any time that a manager has pulled a situation as dire as Jones' right now.

Except maybe Hassenhuttl after the 9-0 defeat to Leicester, the 9-0 loss to Man Utd didn't really seem to stir as much of a response.

Potter might be free soon ;)

It’s far from a terrible squad. Alright it’s not mid table, but the should be able to compete for survival.

The problem is that the best available manager at the moment is Hassenhutl.

They are in big trouble if they sack him or not.

But they don't have a PL standard goalkeeper, it's very hard to survive without a decent goalie. They might have talented youngsters but they're a team so desperately reliant on Ward-Prowse at set-pieces. It's pretty poor and they're inevitably going down with Bournemouth, who looked totally short on quality on Saturday but Traore looked good.

They are Premier League still, so available or not should not matter, they go and get a target, someone on their list will come.
Hassenhutl is not fella available

Talk Sport reporting his job is under review, well that’s the first of two managers gone who thought the grass was greener….
Well from Nathan's point of view, he is ambitious and obviously wanted to give it a try, & was highly unlikely to make it to the Premier League with little old Luton l wouldn't have thought.

Doubtless even if he does end up with his P45 by the end of today, his bank balance is going to be a n awful lot better off.
