Has Kuipers played his last game for Albion

Just far enough away from LDC
I'm a big fan of Kuipers - but the whole Flinders episode has proved one thing - that many fans weren't having a go at henderson just cos he wasn't Kuipers.

Most of the people I heard having a go at henderson have been positive about Flinders. I think he looks a good keeper and currently his performances justify keeping Kuipers out of the team.

If Kuipers leaves then I will wish him all the best - I just hope we get a keeper of Flinders' standard to replace him.

If it is true that Kuipers is the highest earner at the club then probably wise to get rid.

He obviously isn't Wilkins first choice and judging by the extension of Flinders loan till the end of the season Wilkins doesn't think he deserves his chance.

As for who we get in as a number 1 who knows ?

so are we saying now that as someone is a high earner we get rid of them?

I don't quite agree. Nobody has been able to say ANYTHING negative about Flinders, because his performances have been top drawer. However, they still insist that "he shouldn't be in the team as there is nothing to play for so it's a waste of wages"

Odd decision to 'keep' Flinders imo.

Kuipers was playing well pre injury and should have been back between the sticks a few games ago. Now is the time to be blooding Martin or Sullivan.

I just think this sends the wrong message to our own players when we don't need a loan keeper.

Sad if MK has played his last game

I think Flinders depends on who Palace get in.

I get the feeling Pajama pants will be off and that will leave Palace short - This would make Flinders number one.

If they bring in Turner I suspect they MAY be willing to allow Flinders to join on loan for the season - with a call back clause.

This maybe what the club are thinking and is why they are keeping(snigger) Palace and Flinders sweet.

Cannot have call back clauses on season long loans.

I've heard a rumour we are after Jan Budtz, who is available on a free from Doncaster at the end of the season. He's currently on loan at Wolves and played at Palace on Saturday so maybe they can tell us what he's like.

If they're not contributing, then, yeah - I think that's pretty fair.

Kuipers' time has come and gone; he's an average player on a very good player's salary. Even if we can't keep Flinders, he needs to go to make way for a new number one.

I must say that I think its a slightly peculiar decision to extend Flinders loan at this stage of the season. We don't really have anything to play for, Kuipers is fit and able, and it would be a good idea to blood Sullivan and Martin. So why are we giving first team experience to a Palace player who we don't actually need and are unlikely to sign in the close season?

think kuipers will be off in the close season

cant justify paying that sort of money to a man who has spent the majority of this season sitting on the bench. will be interesting to see where he would go though, as when he put himself on the transfer list last season nobody appaeared to come in for him

Yet we can justify paying the wages of a loan player in addition to him. The question is why?

are we actually playing flinders wages though, or just a percentage?

if we are paying part of his wages, then it just shows how highly wilkins rates kuipers

As a bench warmer...then a resounding yes

Especially if they seem to not be rated by the current manager

Ok fine...flinders gets injured and we have got rid of kuips...what do we do then? get someone else in on loan, because its obvious the great one doesnt rate any of the young keepers!

On the money that Kuips is earning we can afford two keepers.
