Brighton boss Sami Hyypia
"As long as I am in this position I know that I have the backing of everyone in the club."

"If they put pressure on me or say something to me like 'it's not good, we have to win the next game or otherwise you can walk' then I would say straight away.

"It's not the case."

Hyypia, who was sacked by German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen in April, is content that he has the support of Bloom.

"As long as I am in this position I know that I have the backing of everyone in the club," he said.

"When that day comes that they say 'thanks a lot - that's enough' then I know the backing is not there any more.

"Until that day comes I know nobody has to say to me that I have their backing. I know it is there."

I can only imagine that is going to be said in the most sarcastic voice possible.

Two months on and still stumbling along getting more clueless by the game, showing zero signs of a turnaround. Hard to have much faith in the hierarchy when they continue backing a man who appears to be a loser of epic proportions. This on the back of a shambles of a transfer window too.

Really difficult to see what the board's reasoning is on this one. Even allowing for the presence of the Millwall scum element on Friday, the atmosphere was pretty toxic. The longer this drags on, the more damage is being done to the club's stated family-friendly ethos, because parents are going to be less and less likely to subject their kids to that kind of atmosphere. Time for the board to wake up and smell the Bovril.

:shootself

Just look at the performances. You do not have the support of the players and that, frankly, is what matters most.

I'm still clutching at the straw of Micky Adams being sacked the Friday before a game. That was after a Tuesday game but still, I just can't get my head round the possibility of Hyypia being in charge at Wolves. It's utterly bizarre.

IF he had ANY honour, THEN he would have resigned well before now. He clearly is not only a moron / clueless, but has no integrity whatsoever.

Sami - do the right thing, please... ... and thank you.
