This season we threw away points at Fulham for the same reason. Caceido got him the Chelsea job IMO a player he didn’t realise was that good.
He made one change in the lineup from Leeds to Fulham

Sometimes a team doesn't win every game and its not always really anyone in particulars fault that you don't win 38 out of 38.

Not really buying all the revisionist comments implying Potter isn't any good.

He absolutely is a good coach.
Our squad is exceptionally well coached and able to react on the pitch quickly and effectively.
De Zerbi is absolutely benefitting from that work.
That doesn't mean he isn't also an excellent coach. Time will tell.

I am however, loving how toe-curlingly excruciating Potter's torment is.
The Chelsea move was never going to be the right job for him.
He seemed to believe he was far more important in our transformation than Tony/Barbs/Cashworth.

Deserves everything he gets.

The Fulham press conference is a shit show, instead of we are working hard as a group he’s bashed on about how good a coach he is and the Chelsea job is the hardest in football.

The pressure is really getting to him. I’m no expert in body language but he doesn’t look at all comfortable when asked the “wrong” questions

Gross and Trossard up top was never going to work the formation was wrong. Should of made changes at half time as it so clearly wasn’t working.

He's different GP. This admission he had a meeting with four senior players isn't odd in itself, but it is unusual to admit it to a blood thirsty press. Have actually been thinking how strange is it that Cesar Azpilicueta hasn't been starting. Yes he's a bit past his best but sometimes you need your old warhorses out there for you. In a way I'm starting to hope he turns it around a little because it's obviously really getting to him and all I can really see is him turning the tide a little, restoring a bit of his reputation and some sanity but still getting ditched.
Saw another stat saying that as well as seemingly breaking every spending record out there on defenders they've also spent over £350 million on forwards since 2020. Absolutely nuts. Serious, consistent mismanagement at the very top. (Although playing Sterling as a WB is an odd one whatever way you look at it).
I'm expecting a return back to basics tonight and a win but he'll be far from out of trouble. The whole thing feels like a car crash

I didn’t realise there was a “my name is Dave, and I’m obsessed with Graham Potter” self help group. Was watching Chelsea press conferences part of this week’s homework?

That's odd, at one of his early pressers he said it was an easy job
Such an odd thing to say. How does he even know which job is the hardest? Why's he not just repeating "we believe in the process, we are working hard, we will turn it around". He seems to be giving the press and the Chelsea support so much to jump on.

When you have a nearly fully fit Chelsea squad its an easier job than most PL jobs because there's a fair bit of quality. When circumstances change and you have 10 injuries its a difficult job.

Cezar has started 7 out of 11 games since GP took over as well as coming in on at half-time once.

He added that isn't necessarily a fact but that it could be and "obviously, I'm saying it because I'm in it".

Funny with the schizophrenia here. RDZ getting praised for his honest press conferences whereas GP is an idiot for not throwing cliches to the press. Mind you, if he was throwing cliches at the press, people here would get on his back for not being honest enough. Had he said the same thing about Sterling or Pulisic as RDZ said about Trossard, people would accuse him of throwing his players under the bus etc.

To be fair he seemed to bristle at a fair few BHA press conferences. The amount of tedious, inane or leading questions they have to field from supposedly professional journalists would test most people imho.

Yep. I watch all telly football and recently, just before I was able to say it, my mate Bob blurted 'this is shit' during a Chelsea match. Mason Mount, in particular, has turned into anonymous sulky dog-shite almost overnight. Player of the season last season and the one before, too.

That said....Citeh were shit last night, and towards the end of the match the players were bitching at one another.

My theory? Once a bunch of players crosses a rubicon of wages and sense of entitlement, they become brittle and don't respond to adversity well. I'll be surprised if this persists at Citeh, but Chelsea are in a precarious position, with the danger of a contagion of Connollitis and Andoneurism.

Indeed. There are many reasons for disliking Plodder, but this isn't one. Alex Ferguson did nothing but bristle at pressers. By contrast, Steve Bruce is always charming and emollient.

Its funny because, when Potter left I was so pissed off with him for betraying the trust we had in him, struggled to even look at him on the Tv, but I now feel kind of sorry for him. Maybe he wasnt as clever as he thought he was, certainly not as "emotionally intelligent" as hes professed to be but its not great to see it unravel in front of you. I want Chelsea to fail more than I want him to fail.
My name is Dave, but Im no longer obsessed.

Absolutely agree with this. What it highlights is how different the job is at somewhere like Chelsea. RDZ, especially with his decent start, is afforded a bit more trust and respect. Unfortunately for Potter there's quite a lot of the press and their support who've doubted him from the off. It's impossible to do the right thing here, his only effective response will be to start getting results.

I don’t think you have picked up on the piss taking and the enjoyment on here when he’s been suffering at Chelsea?
We want the shit show to continue not your lectures on how great you think Potter is 😂

There is whole bunch of Chelsea fans you could be trying to convince Potter is the best coach since Dave Hockaday.
