Worthing
There was a couple of cases on the coach I got to Burnley but a subsequent PCR test proved negative.

I'm just getting over man flu, which I'm pretty sure is more severe.

Plenty will have got covid from football, the Delta variant was a game changer in that it seems it transmits much easier outdoors. Look at that recent festival in Newquay, some 5k cases related to that one festival alone which is almost exclusively outdoors. We now have in league football lalone some three quarters of a million spectators a week all packed into stadiums, pubs beforehand and transport to and from venues, criss crossing the country and taking their covid with them.

Turns out my man flu was in fact Covid, just been sent home for testing positive.
Obviously can't tell if it was from football or not.

The bit I find most surprising about this, is 3 days ago you mentioned your "man flu" (Covid), but you still went to work!

But at least you can say you were there, having paid a couple of grand to secure a ticket. Over and over and over again......

Corrected for you

Because I have to do tests for work and they were showing as negative. I can't drop everything because I thought I had a cold and my tests were coming back as negative.

Unfortunately the tests only have something like a 60 % accuracy rate and that’s under laboratory conditions. Lots of false negatives and consequent virus spread.

My apologies, your posts just read like you had "man flu" and went to work - there was no mention of testing...! - sorry for casting aspersions.
