Sounds like Yahoomail have been hacked. Had mine hacked into, picking up momentum on twitter, already global. Every person and buisness im connected with has recieved a virus, watchout out Bozza! But even if you don't have yahoomail if you are on someone's Yahoo address list you may receive a virus email. As off yet Yahoo are saying nothing!

I've had three or four blatantly dodgy e-mails today from a person with a yahoo account.

Yes - both my account and my wife's have been hacked in the last 2 months. We've now changed our passwords and set up the additional security measures that text you if anyone logs in from a non-usual location.

I've had problems with an old hotmail account that I don't use anymore. It sent an email to the few people I had as contacts on it (sorry Mendoza)

Just had a look at my little used Yahoo Mail account and there's an email from my mum asking if I meant to send her a link to a diet pills website. Checked the login history and it says I accessed my account yesterday morning from Argentina. So yea, I've been hacked.

Think this might be time to close my account altogether to be honest. It's gmail all the way

you probably haven't had your account hacked at all, they spoof your email address in the message header as the "from" address.

Actually no, you can go into your Yahoo mail account settings and view where your account was last accessed from. It's a safe bet that I would remember being in Argentina

Where do you get that from Blackcap?

In the top left of the yahoo mail screen, drop down the menu and select Account Info. Under the SignIn and Security section, select "Set up your second sign-in verification". There's info on the next screen explaining how it works.

And yes, our accounts WERE both hacked, the recent logins page showed people logging in from Argentina and South Korea. First I knew was when one of my contacts told me they started receiving spam from my yahoo address.
