What about health and safety as well? surely it's not safe to stand on a train? I was thinking this coming back from Leeds the other day (standing) and wondered what would happen if there was a train crash, Carnage and a bloody big compo bill i can imagine.

They must be able to get away with that somehow. If they are allowed to do away with the toilets, then letting people stand must be fine, surely !!

I used to work with a girl who was on the train in the Clapham rail crash many years ago - she was at the back somewhere, not hurt in the slightest but claimed whiplash and got enough money to buy a brand new car.

Way out west
She also has to announce that she's off to 'liberate the dog' at lunch time instead of just walking out of the office without saying anything like everyone else.

That sounds like a euphemism, does she return with a flushed look on her face?
