Not at all TLO, it's the attitude to anyone who doesn't like Harveys or even Real Ale that makes many Ale drinkers snobs.

I get the distinct impression that NSC was used as a "vox pop" to tie up a few loose ends. Why pay for market research when you can instantly gauge opinion for nothing ?

This. In the second half of last season I was finding the taste so far removed from that of a properly stored and poured pub Harveys that I stopped drinking it on the concourses and even resorted to (whisper it) drinking Fosters on occasion because at least it tastes like it's supposed to i.e. P1ss. And I'm not a real ale snob at all, just found it hard to stomach. I'm hoping I will rediscover my affinity for concourse Harveys in the new season.

The (original) single issue was Harveys , the debate and opinions on cider may get picked up by the club after reading this thread.

PURELY SPECULATION, but this is my guess at what has happened:

i reckon you've gone too far with even that speculation. I will speculate that some heard Harvey's were renegotiating the supply contract and someone took that to mean they might not be supply anymore, and someone else took that to mean they wouldnt be supplying any more.

Or, someone outright lied for a bit of a wind up.
