In fairness, I think the phone in reflects the season.

With this season we have had the constant references to dean wilkins's firing, the results, "never go back", in fighting with fans who "keep the faith" and fans who think "the results speak for themselves". There is the constant struggle between optimists and realist/defeatists and a struggle to not turn the phone in into a misery hour.

You first go was pretty impressive.

Tip: tell that Gavin what's his name to calm down when the opposition score and he will go up his ratings with the Albion fans (also a Hawses fault), he must be biased it's the law!

Best of Luck.

Look forward to it Steve. Will Harty phone in having taken a few drops of the demon drink?

Worthing have a week off in the Rugby so he won't be up there to be tempted into by me.

Getting the idea that this may be Harty's last season as the phone in host.
After spending a lot of time at matches with Ian Hart in the last few months I expect his lad Sam (Hart) will be happy, as I heard him say his best time watching the Albion was when his dad was off from SCR last time. Maybe says it all.

Hmm, I sincerely doubt that Harty can be bettered. The boy is an Albion legend (HOW though, did he restrain himself from doing a Cantona on those foul-mouthed FILTH at Orient, when many a man would have lost it?!).

Last time he was on hiatus the phone-in was crapcrapcrap.

Think you could well be right as he is a devoted family man and would put their wishes foremost.

He has been on for a long time, I would make a guess at 10 or 11 years, so I wonder if his successor will survive the knives for such an equally long time.

I hope that this is not then end but if it is I would say a big thank you to Harty you have done us supporters proud. Well Done!!!!

Tuesday's phone in was more like the Harty of old, even if some of the callers are becoming regulars - week in, week out.

Perhps with Mickey gone, the strain of what happened with Wilkins, plus some other contributing factors which all seem to have joined together to reflect Harty's season on the phone in.

He must be suffering not only are the team having a bad season but things have worked and divided Harty's loyalties as well.

Lets hope its not his last season in the box - which is definately better when John Byrne joins him - they feed off of each other very nicely
