Different types of player. Crouch is behind Heskey in the pecking order of "big target men". I suspect he may be behind Carlton Cole as well, Capello has made it no secret that he is not a fan of Crouch.

I for one agree with him. Never international class in a million years, never scored against a top class defence.

Hat trick against Arsenal spoils that theory somewhat.

I agree P.D. But i think that Harry will put Crouch and Defoe up top, with Keano wide left, like he did on Saturday...... Its a shame though coz Keane was shite on Sat... Would love to see us give Gio a go wide left.

Harry can certainally get the best out of players and can always bring in the right player to improve the team, but his dealings with agents has been questioned,imagine Rednapp & Venables as co managers of a team,it would not be possible to keep up with the comings and goings.

We're on the verge of signing Kranjčar, apparently. Also 'enquired' about Petrov of Man City. Kranjčar is every bit as good as Modric on his day.
