To be fair, if there's any truth in this statement that's incredibly unpleasant and you can understand an angry reaction. If true, of course.

Surely it’s a daft defence as there would be clinical evidence if she’d reported the ‘injection’ to the Greek police Strikes me as a bit of a desperate claim IMO, the lawyer may have asked Maguire if his sister was clinically assessed afterwards and if she wasn’t thats a ‘hole’ for the defence to exploit.

If he's made that up to save his skin, which should be provable, he is a despicable man and I wouldn't want to see him ever play for England again.

If it's true, then it's a reasonable defence against an assault charge
