Very true and the fact is we have an abundance of very talented youngsters which I put down to them playing in the bestest league in the world alongside the best players in the world. When you play with good players you improve. The dropouts should not consider themselves to step straight back into the team. This can only be a good thing imo.

Completely agree.

For the ones who weren't seriously crocked but ruled themselves out, they need to prove they're more hungry than their replacements. And if I was Tuchel, what an opportunity to set the issue straight right from the start by excluding a few of those that unnecessarily dropped out this time. Carsley can fill him in there with names.

Even with some enforced team changes within the squad with Thursday / Sunday games, the general rule of 'if you play well, you keep the shirt/squad place' should still stand IMHO.

Plenty of us are still interested in England irrespective of size of club or quality of opposition. I'll be at Wembley on Sunday for the Ireland game.

£25 a ticket through ESTC represents excellent VFM with all the pre-match entertainment. It's cheaper than plenty of Premier League tickets.

If we can get revenge tomorrow night in Greece, the top spot in the group and automatic promotion will still be there for the taking at the weekend.

And if some players are injured, it's not as if England have a shortfall of keen hungry young replacements they can draw on.

Kane's right IMHO. Country before club. Even though it's not the most important tournament, it's time to get back among the top nations again.

I was at one of those games! 4th June 1977.
One of the most memorable games I have ever been to.
And yes, I was on the pitch after the final whistle, but nowhere near the flimsy goalposts. Good times.
