I thought a very definite: not.

It was like watching comedy that used to be funny but isn't any more. Time has moved on and comedy has evolved.

Give me Armstrong & Miller over H&P any day of the week.

I don't think it was that bad. Like all sketch shows it was somewhat hit and miss but I like the elements of surrealism they bring in, to keep it from being simple straightforward catchphrase comedy.

Some of it I just plain didn't get however. What was that sketch with the model scout and his mum about?

That's pretty much the feeling I got, very disappointing.

Wanted it to be funny, having previously been hooked on Harry Enfield and Chums et al, but mostly all dross. Parking warden sketch and 'Bob Marley Davison' the highlights.

Since The Fast Show no other sketch shows can compare. And to think, Harry Enfield rejected most of the fast show characters that Paul Whitehouse came up with for his own show so Paul Whitehouse went out and made his own show with Higson, Day et al. I have never found Harry Enfield funny from the Loadsa Money days through to Kevin the teenager rubbish. Tim nice but dim was the only sketch that would sometimes get a chuckle.

I agree with that but I didn't think it was THAT bad last night. I liked the 3 blokes in the club going on about Cameron being a "Qwaaa".

There was one sketch that seemed to have no point at all - can't remember which one it was though; now!

I just wish Paul Whitehouse would do Roley again. "We were all var, var drunk" and "a selection of interesting cheeses" - the latter now being a Screaming J family catchphrase. Infantile I know; but always creases me up.
