I for one am actually not too bothered at all. What has he actually done that Casper wouldn't have? The main area for concern was the corners and Caspers ability to come and claim the ball was questioned with his tendency to punch. Was Harper any more commanding? There was a sense of calm with the fans as he was just a "different" keeper and people have an obsession of holding Casper to that blunder against Rochdale over a year ago. But installing a keeper a few inches smaller than the previous plus the fact we are pretty poor since Murray left at defending corners made little difference.

Main thing for me is he balls’d up our passing game from the back to some extent with Watford a key example although that game can also be put down to our atrocious positioning. We went from having 11 to 10 outfield players and from having a back 5 of passing players to a back four who would pass and pass and then give it back and the ball is then hoofed up the pitch and possession is lost.

We need a keeper like Casper to play our football. FACT. His shot stopping is good and he helps keep the team passing and ticking whilst pissing off the opposition.

I think it is all to do witrh Mrs harper. I don't think she wanted to uproot the family for a two year stint. I am not surprised about this. The same applied to Kevin Phillips. Can't blame them.

This is a shame. Was hoping Ankergen was not going to feature for us again. Hope we can get another keeper in . Would not want CA to play any more games in the championship. The bloke unfortunately is a liability in this league. Good luck to him personally though but proven to be L1 keeper

Interesting point, although Haper made some fantastic saves!
But I feel you are right we need a keeper with excellent passing/control and who is confident with the ball!

That just about says it for me although I suspect we may still see harper back at some point and possibly sooner rather than later.
Certainly time for Poke or Brezovan to move on in the transfer window.
