According to Andy Naylor tweet:

"Harley deal could be completed b4 Blackpool. Just agreeing a fee has taken time"

He didn't play for their reserves today, and Andy naylor said today on q &a that we want permanent. I assume deal now agreed, he would probably have watched the game, and will sign tomorrow.

Great signing if it happens IMO. He carried Exeter to a play off push last season and with better players around him, playing our style of football he could be a real gem. Anyone have an idea of the fee? Swansea got him for free so I can't imagine the asking price being too high.

You pick up a previously unknown Rembrandt at a car boot sale for 10p so you'd expect to sell it for what, a quid?

I like (nay love) the fact that The Albion under Gus seem to get their man eventually. The pulling power of Falmer is a huge ingredient of this, also once you sign big players i.e CMS it gives of a statement of intent of which players will follow....Can't wait til saturday!!!!!!!!!!!

People on here often in the past cited Withers as one of the reasons why we could not attract some of our targets, but I never really thought it played that big a part in it - I was obviously wrong.

Wonder what sort of price? Can't see it being huge seeing as how he didn't play a game for Swansea

There doesn't need to be a particular one. Gus picks a team for each match - witness last night. Who'd have thought he'd play NONE of the three wingers?

Depending on the opposition, Harley might play ahead of Sparrow, or Vince (in last night's set up). Equally it could be in place of Dicker, if we wanted a slightly more attacking stance. Or even in place of a winger.

Who knows? (Not the other manager, for a start...)

Good question. You can tell why Gus wanted a seven man bench. We are going to have some great strength in depth. Some very good players will not be getting on but competition is great for us. Look how well Barnesy is playing with Hoskins breathing down his neck.

Assuming the Harley deal goes through, I guess we are just looking for a defender and we are done?
