I have a feeling that this is Harley's final game for us. The impression I got with the substitution tonight is that Gus was offering him an ultimatum, a final chance to prove himself, and he fluffed it.

Dicker wasn't that bad - but isn't good enough to meet our ambitions either, and the same could well apply to him too.

Both are actions that are way overdue based on last season's performances alone.

The thing is we were playing a league 1 team which I thought was their level but they still looked really poor. Slow, ponderous on the ball and neither can tackle.

I really felt sorry for Bridcutt on his own in our midfield tonight.

CP and others outclassed snail Dicker last term, leaving the excellent Bridcutt fighting a lone battle.

Dicker was great in league one. Not up to scratch to be a top Championship team CM'er.

Its quite simple if you understand the game of football. A player signs a contract. Unless a team wants to buy that player or take him on a free and cover the same wages you are paying him, then the player stays at the club.

Harley signed 3 years so plenty of weeks of him collecting his 8k still to go. A truly woeful signing and drain on the wagebill.

Dicker was very good in Div 1 so I think the critisism is harsh but hasnt done it since, and really hasnt looked good since his injury.

Navarro was unfortunate that his contract was up and we have too many on our books already as he is the natural reserve for Bridcutt even if not in the starting 11.

All just wasting the wages away, they're not doing anything to help, some of them 'do a job' some of them don't. Non of them are good enough for a top 6 Championship side and if that's what we want to be then they need replacing, harsh but true IMO.
