Thanks.
I've had a loook and for what they cost I may as well bite the bullet and pay Virgin for their V+ box.

Cheers anyway

without a doubt the best way to go

REMEMBER when you phone them HAGGLE for all your lifes worth you can get some great deals if you stick to ya guns when on the phone !!!

How soon is now?
I already have a PVR with freeview and it won't work with the Virgin cable box. We can't get a strong enough aerial signal where we've just moved to so in order to get all the channels we had to move to cable/sky. I contacted the manufacturer of the PVR who confirmed it would not work with the Virgin box - bit of a pisser really as it was only a couple of months old

Wait till one of the German cheapy chains has an offer soon, they usually don't have Freeview. Otherwise get one with Freeview that has a "SCART encoder", you can hook a Sky/Virgin box up to these just like a VCR. Getting harder to find but most JVC ones do.

Failing that, import one from Ireland - nobody uses DTT ("Freeview") here except a tiny few so all hard drive recorders sold here have analogue tuners still.
