My apologies to the Canucks. Should have known that. Since I moved to the USA I've lost all track of the rest of the world. It's just not necessary here. In fact it's actively discouraged!

Just relaxing after a great turkey dinner and a quiet afternoon with the family playing Trivial Pursuit. One of the good things about moving around the world is that you get to celebrate lots of different holidays.
I actually find Thanksgiving to be one of the best - not very commercialised and really focused on family. Even stayed away from NSC all day until now!

I've known this is a huge holiday since watching Planes, Trains and automobiles but until this week, I'd always assumed it was in gratitude of the harvest. So, not a big celebration in black and native households, I presume.

Yes thanks Billy - we get today and tomorrow off so makes for a nice long weekend. Just watching the Cowboys gubbing the Seahawks 31-9. Will go into town tomorrow for the “Black Friday” sales and see if there are any decent bargains

All I gather is that, as it says, The usage of "eh" in Canada is occasionally mocked in the United States. No idea why, but I think the reasons are best kept on your side of the Pond!

Yes, about 7 or 8 miles - it's slightly nearer Chesterfield.
