I saw them at the IOW festival last year which sadly turned out to be Paul Ryder's last gig. I thought they were great fun, still plenty of energy and Rowetta does a fine job helping Sean hold the vocals together.
Have to say I just always assumed that Rowetta was this fierce strong figure that sort of held the mess that was the Mondays together. Til one time I happened upon her back story - which was one of serious domestic violence.

Rowetta

Heads-up/Reminder: due to play 21:00 - 22:00 tonight (if the whole set-up doesn't get blown away first by the gale force winds)
Hopefully.

Another Saturday ruined having to keep the windows and doors shut because of god awful racket coming from the park. It's about time these loud music events were banned from the park.

Relative freebies (pay an admin fee) knocking about on Show Film First and would probably would have gone, however, nice little double header at Chalk tonight of The Popguns followed by Jim Bob which I'm really looking forward to

I’m hesitant. All three times I’ve seen them live, they’ve been atrocious. But I do love their music.
My favourite band 88-98, absolute loved everything they done. I’m even a MASSIVE fan of Yes Please. However after the Dome gig about four years ago I decided to retire (no criticism of them) I just thought it was time to leave it to great memories. Haven’t seen them or Black Grape since, and won’t be at Preston Park.

For those that are fans, and haven’t heard it, give Amateur Night At The Big Top a listen, it’s feckin epic!
