Ah, how annoying....if the camera man had just adjusted his picture a bit further to his right (on the second picture) I'd be able to see myself!! Not sure why, but I wore a bright green New York Cosmos shirt that day (of the Pele era!!!)
SO MANY MEMORIES FROM THAT DAY, both good and bad.....from literally chain smoking 4 cigarettes at half-time, to feeling sick with nerves, to the relief of the win (and the amazing bundle when we scored!) to avoiding the big punch-up in the cattle market car park after the game (just!) and the great journey home in the minibus.

Was along the side, in lower terrace stand. Albion fans above in seats. What an afternoon. Been done to death but blimey, I never want to go through that ever again.

What a day, was in hereford for the weekend staying with family had a a party to go on Saturday night in a pub me and my cousin wasn’t very popular that night

I couldn't get a ticket, but my brother did, so sat there glued to the radio at work (decided to work to take my mind off of it, didn't work). With about 30 mins to go there was myself, the manager, several customers just stood there listening. Beldam in the shop when the goal went in

I went with my mum that day, she used to tell a story, that she went off at half time to get a cuppa, then came back and saw me sat on the terrace, head in hands, at that point she had a massive surge of parental guilt for getting me into this.
We were above you, emotional, exhausting but ultimately relieving .
There is literally zero comparison with now.

I was there and in the home end before kick off, the idea of staying in there and not outing myself in the toxic atmosphere was ruining our pre match, luckily a steward let us through to the away end. What a day, the full gamut of emotions and I doubt any result will ever come close to the joy at full time. Hard to believe I’m sure for those who weren’t born or fans back then when you consider what has happened in the last 15 years and where we could be in a few years, but I doubt winning the Champion’s League would be as good. We were dead if we’d gone out of the league.
We got our tickets from a mate whose girlfriend’s grandad lived in Hereford as we couldn’t get them in the away end.

I hope he’s still alive and feeling the pain…..
I was not there and could not listen on the radio and my only way to keep an eye on what was going on was teletex. Waiting for it to scroll round would have been vomit inducing. So I only checked it once when I knew the game would be have finished. I remember waiting for the result to scroll round , sobbing hoping that we had done enough to stay up. I don't remember jumping around, but the utter sense of relief was overwhelming and I thought I was going to faint.

I was in the seats almost by the halfway line, close to the Hereford supporters. Never have I experienced such a swing in emotions from half time to when Robbie equalised. I don't think we stopped singing until after the full time whistle. Only hazy memories of the journey back...
