The most curious thing..
There are some advantages to living in the middle of nowhere! No callers for me.
Nobody likes me either - fortunately.

Worst day of the year. Pagan time. Non Christian and I find it deeply offensive.

I like that All Hallows Eve lives on. I don't mind trick or treating (pumpkin in the window, you're in. No pumpkin, you're out). I HATE all the plastic and disposable tat that people buy.

In my defence, I was left unsupervised.

Well, we got through three tubs of Heroes/Celebrations between 5:30 and 7:30. I had the first lot of kids coming up the steps just as I was putting the pumpkins out.

I, being a miserable old git, don't like Halloween and think it's really sad that it's totally usurped Bonfire Night and 'Penny For The Guy' in the nation's affections. However my Grandson loves it so fair enough.

EDIT: I think we did have a few who came round twice. I did look at one lad and said "Didn't you come here earlier?" He looked at me and said "Naa, its the fake blood. Everyone's wearing it."
