My stepson's best mate in Scotland says "I have never been to England but when that bitch dies I will come down to England and dance on her grave!"
To which I replied "I would be only too happy to watch."
Which he thought was great, coming from am Englishman, until I added she was to be buried at sea!!!

She will go down in history, with Winston, as one of the greatest leaders this country this country has ever had.

She is a sad old bird these days but would be curious to see the fiery Mrs. T. of old getting stuck into the current Euro crisis, blimey she would have really rocked the boat and got right up the noses of Sarkozy and Merkel etc. - plus telling them that the UK would not be bailing out the Euro without getting an absolutally mega deal for us in return. That would have been worth watching.

On the other hand her hawkish foreign policy would have made Blair's love in with George W. seem almost pacifist. God knows who else we'd be at war with right now - probably the Argies again. She would have happily lobbed a few cruise missiles into Buenos Aires high street!

Exactly - once the old hag finished the job on British Manufacturing industry that the Luftwaffe couldn't manage in 6 years, she dragged us far further into Europe than we had been before. Happy Birthday? - I will be dancing in the street the day she dies!
The unions,Scargill,Red Bob killed off manufacturing...I witnessed 35 good workers put out of a job because they would'nt sign up to a closed shop...if it was'nt for Maggie they would be running this country....as long as you paid them your dues and political dues. You are about to see the rise of them again with Bob Crowe bringing the country to a standstill...whilst he lords it with his expenses paid for by the working man...Wake up Britain... will you be complaining when you can't get to work,on holidays when everything is shut down? Saw and lived through it in 40/50s...we need a Maggie to sort them out...Cameron is too soft......

A very happy 86th birthday Mrs T and what we wouldn't give now to have you and your handbag sorting out all these Johnny Foreigners.

Under Maggie manufacturing dropped from25.8% to 22.5% when Blair came to power it was over 20% under Labour it dropped to12.4%,figures from the Financial Times.

Oh, the good old days of singing: "Maggie, Maggie, Maggie, Out! Out! Out! Cecil, Cecil, Cecil, In Out, In Out, shake it all about!"

And loved by the foreign investors who purchased our whole infrastucture and who now sell us our own gas, water and electricity and trouser the profits with glee.

I remember about 10 people singing that. The rest of the the North Stand looked really embarrassed!

I think you mean about 10 people looked embarrassed. 2500 sang it out with pride. You are talking about Hove in the 80's don't forget.
