I'm a fan

I don't think he's a died in the wool tory, it's certainly not his Background. I once read a quote where he said he liked the get up on you feet and work to achieve ethic of the Thatcher years, but didn't like the fact the tories neglected those who couldn't get up on their feet without help . . . . .

anyway . . . As has been said, everyone with a family requires a steady income to provide and he's done that at times, regardless of critical acclaim. He's also excelled in a few roles, Cider house, Rita etc . . . But also made brilliant characters from weak scripts. The Italian job on paper is weak, . . . But a Quincy Jones soundtrack . . . The perfect settings, stunts, and styling set the scene, MC does the rest . . . consider the remake if you will.

Get Carter. Horribly superb. And another great soundtrack.

The muppets is always the measure of a man. He nailed it. Like Buddy Ritch with ANimal

In some good stuff. Superb in The Quiet American (a rare great novel / great film combo). Italian Job is iconic. Good few others.

Very scary that he’s 90. Kirk / Shatner is even older.
