i am easily pleased.

I was 'completely happy' on sunday afternoon for the few seconds after we scored and i was diving about like a lunatic.
For those few seconds, i wasn't thinking about ANYTHING else (not even in the back of my mind) except the pure elation of scoring.
I have been 'completely happy' like this lots of times. It is great.

However, I think possibly fatboy might mean a different type of happiness. I have talked about elation which is, obviosuly, very short lived. He might mean the more long term version, don't know the right word, but 'content' seems a good one. When you feel that everything in your life is going as well as it could be. I get that sometimes, quite often even, but i am probably unusual because i have quite a low level of ambition. I don't believe you can achieve this feeling of 'complete happiness/contentment' unless you have, like me, a realistic level of ambition. People tell me it is sad when I say this, but i am genuinely quite happy to be 'average'. I am happy to earn an average wage, live in an average house, drive an average car, be of average intelligence etc. etc.
Because of this i am content with what i have got.

yeah, the more i think about it, i am happy, i am even above average on some stuff:

e.g.
i support the best football team in the world.

writing this has cheered me up, not that i was down, but still, i am gonna go and get a glass of cranberry juice. we have ocean spray, which is above average, so i am more than happy with that!!

Do you think Ben Roberts is happy when he is diving around like a lunatic?

Sunday was pure poetry on the happiness front.

My kids were Christened on a glorious sunny morning, we had a great party in a hotel featuring most people who were important to us and large amounts of food and wine. It was done, dusted and cleared by 3pm, the little fella fell asleep meaning that I got a pass to watch the WHOLE match in the pub, which we won with a large slice of luck.

Marvellous scenes.

I am very happy at the moment. My job is cool, my family and extended family are well, my house is almost decorated, my garden is ace, we have a fairly full diary, we're not short of money and we go on holiday in a month's time to Greece with friends.

Oh and Albion are going up.

When I saw the net ripple following a Nick Mrdja strike on April 2, 2004. I had travelled 4,000kms to see the Perth Glory in the Grand Final against Parramatta Power, Nick Mrdja won the game with a golden goal in the 99th minute following a scoreless 90 mins. The scenes that took place before and after the game were an experience I will never forget and I am sure it will always be one of the best days of my life. :)

It's amazing how sport can mean so much to a person's life and what's even more amazing is when the person doesn't actually play the game but only spectates it.
