Turned round kissed the badge held it up and shouted for a fair bit of time - just gonna cause a fracas and insight trouble from fans and players. Crossed the line for me and as I say, he has previous. He looked a bit shell shocked and sheepish so perhaps he knew that and perhaps he will think twice in future…

Maddison deliberately putting the ball out the corner quadrant and laughing with our fans - that stuff is brilliant. All up for some BANTZ but got to be careful where that line is and not to cross it!
Having not seen it was it was worse than Duffy and Maupay giving it large to the palace fans at Selhurst after the goal? Or Sanchez going full nutter at the end of the game?
Players have to take the abuse for 90 minutes they should be allowed to give it back

Yeh, maybe but as I said he’s got a lot of form for goading and does it regularly - just needs to tone it down a bit for me. Also, that’s after a goal - this was full time after a fairly comfortable 2-0 win and wasn’t heat of the moment as such.

I hope this fan does jail time. 28 days as an example to others. Exactly what the authorities said they were going to do after shame of last season. Full prosecution. Lifetime ban is not enough. It’s getting ridiculous now the number of idiots doing this sort of thing.

Quite right, plus a course on self control. If he does it when a keeper goads someone else I wonder what he’s like in a pub, or at home

It's a two way street though..a few years back I went to a Worthing home match and a " fan " decided he did not like the opposition keeper right from the kick off. He was giving him the most foul insults and abuse and he did not react.
Fortunately after ten minutes or so a couple of rather large genuine Worthing fans went up to the bloke and reminded him of the fact that there were women and children present and that he should rethink his comments.

They can’t no - and that’s poor and he’ll get a ban. Did you see what he did? Sanchez didn’t do anything did he? Maupay was a bit borderline, I just think Ramsdale does it too much - pick your moments and don’t make it go on for ages.
Agreed…looking at a vid clip that at FT ..shows him turning around to the Spurs supporters kissing the badge ..throwing his arms in the air etc etc …..i also remember him a couple of seasons ago playing for Sheffield Utd at the AMEX it was a limited attendance and i was in the North behind the goal…he was a nob then….be a character by all means but imho he sometimes crosses the line and was a tad silly to wind up the opposition fans in a derby game when u know emotions will run high especially as they have just lost …apparently he put it under bantz (as he did our lot in the recent match).

Having said all the above there is simply no excuse for a supporter to get onto the pitch and do what they did.

Cant recall the Duffy or Sanchez bit…not sure i would compare what Maupay did (if it was after the goal last season) with Ramsdale‘s habits …if one of our players did what he does then i would pick them out for it as well…I’ve no skin in todays game ..just giving my opinion

re the abuse….so how far do you want a player to give abuse back?

Exactly …full time…just get up the other end and start celebrating in front of your own…after all they have just beaten their local rivals and stretched the lead at the top of the table…they are going great ‘guns’

Ramsdale has a reputation for being an unpleasant idiot and while EVERY fan who assaults a fan - regardless of provocation - should be banned for life, players also need to act responsibly.

In the same way it‘s stupid to abuse a stranger in a bar and not expect some backlash, footballers on the biggest stage have to think before they act up….

The fan is an idiot. Ramsdale is an idiot.

No problem with Ramsdale actions, dog abuse all game why isn’t he allowed to give it back?

Fan I suspect will be made an example of, which is the right call. You can’t attack someone cowardly from behind on national tv and expected to get away with it. The one upmanship will be horrendous if it’s not dealt with

The fan should get a lifetime ban. But as far as I can see he was miles from contact. Heat of the moment silliness but hardly crime of the century.
No, which is why 28days jail and a lifetime ban is appropriate. Plus his name and face all over papers, maybe loss of employment as a result but them’s the risks of being an idiot.

He definitely initiated the "banter" with us.
He wasn't receiving loads of abuse and then decided to give some back.
He clearly likes it.

Fairly lame kick from the fan.
Idiot's going to get a long/lifetime ban for it.

No excuse at all for the fan who’ll be easily recognised from the pictures but you only have to watch the All or Nothing Arsenal series to realise Ramsdale is an unhinged bellend
