I don't meet any requirement (1000 subscribers and people watching my shit for 4000 hours) to monetize my Youtube and have no power to control the fact that Youtube put ads on millions and millions of non-monetized videos. I'm making £0 from Youtube and given the quality of my youtubing, I expect it to remain that way.

No big fan of HS here but unless he's got 1k subs and 4k watch hours he won't be monetised.

YouTube put ads on basically every video but only those in the partner program will see any of it.

On my channel, I'm over the 1k subs but nowhere near the 4k watch hours and there's ads on my videos.

Just watched the full 15 minutes, and I feel actually rather sad. Assuming his time spent away from here was either an arrest or involuntary hospitalisation, I take absolutely no joy in another human being suffering from a mental health crisis, whether it’s a best friend or a stranger on the Internet.

The problem is, as I’ve found with a real life friend, that I really struggle to have quite as much sympathy for those suffering from drug induced schizophrenia and/or mania.

I am aware, as this guy has said himself in the past, that he takes drugs and drinks in order to numb his depression from being unemployed and lonely. But trying to make a mentally ill addict see how destructive this is, is next to impossible.

A good friend of mine from Stringer - one of the few school friends I kept in touch with after relocating - was a perfectly happy and healthy individual before getting involved with daily drug use. They ended up homeless, despite coming from a loving home, and shouting at traffic in the street, thinking MI5 had put worms under his skin in his sleep, and so on. For a brief time he got sober at Mill View and these delusions disappeared, then went straight back to drugs and ended up dead.

Be strong, get a shower and some fresh air every day, see your GP and hopefully put together a mental health plan. Schizophrenia diagnoses are only made by psychiatrists as a rule, so being correctly medicated can be a journey.

You may not like the side effects at first or how they change you. But if you persevere you’ll realise they haven’t changed you, they’ve given you clarity and insight into the person you really are.

It’s a long road to recovery, but you’re a smart guy underneath the delusions and haze of confusion. You can do this

What I've been doing for the last 40ish days is to visit my critically ill parent at the hospital in Malmö and two terminally ill grandparents at the hospitals of Lund and Helsingborg. I've been to hospitals for 35 or 36 days since then, travelling all around Skåne to visit my (sometimes previously neglected) relatives.

I would sacrifice my right arm if I could trade all of it for a "drug induced schizophrenia" or whatever the jcdenton wanker was on about.

Luckily getting better now though with my dad beating the odds and his third cancer. Lost all his teeth and is a shell of a man but he'll hang on for another round, so thats good.

Happy that the Albion has been a ray of light during this time. Both the results and the lovely gifts I received when I needed a positive, unusual break in the misery monotony. Some really nice stuff:

I am sure I popped in an old fanzine, that explains our strife back in the day, the snack was a packet of monster munch or bacon frazzles I can't remember which. So glad you liked it all, it is nice to bring a little joy to folks lives.

You normally come across as a decent poster, but I think you're massively wide of the mark with this. Unless you're a very senior practising mental health professional, much of this is very presumptive and potentially quite damaging.

I’m not at all sure it was well meant. It came across as a bit nasty and vindictive, and very probably libellous. I never had a strong opinion on HS but since his YT vids appeared I’ve rather warmed to the bloke. I frequently disagree with him but I don’t see that as a problem. I find his YT persona interesting and annoyingly likeable.

Perhaps. I have always enjoyed chatting with JCdenton. And of course I enjoy the presence of HS.

The kerfuffle surrounds the reason why HS was booted off when posting as Swansman. He posted some stuff that made even me put him on ignore.

However..... for reasons that are mine, and which I am disinclined to elaborate, I decided after a while that I would "move on".

But I can understand that others are not inclined to "move on".

That said there is no excuse for inventing one's own unpleasant narrative around HS as part of the opprobrium. I would suggest that anyone who can never forgive HS for his outburst as swansman should probably put him on ignore, assured that the moderators will absolutely not allow him to repeat the tropes that got him into trouble passim. I suspect the moderators are much more vigilant these days, after allowing 'das reich' to abuse the forum for years. And HS is very certainly no das reich.

That's all I want to say on the matter and I will now move on again.
