I thought he was closer to the traffic cone than he was to fouling that Leicester player.

How the ref judged that a foul, let alone a 2nd yellow just summed it up for me yesterday.

I'm not blaming the ref for yet another defeat, because despite the Argus advising us on Friday that this ref had given 110 yellows and God knows how many reds this season, he wasn't to blame for the first five minutes.

But when your luck's out and your squad is strectche you lose another player for no reason at all.

Still going to Norwich. Still want McGhee in. But morale is low here too

It looked like a second yellow at the game to be fair to the ref - Hume did make a meal of it but a brighton player would do the same.

I love NSC!!!

The only place in town where you go from one thread where people are slagging off the manager for not showing enough passion to a post where a player is slagged off for showing some passion (both on and the way off the pitch)

On a recent drunken night out in Worthing I decided to aim a Hammond style kick at a Police cone outside the Pig Station. Unlike Dean though my aim was true and the result was a badly bruised foot that still hurts and a the indignity of being laughed at by a couple of those fake cops that are really annoying.

So kids, it really isn't big or clever. Still the highlight of the game yesterday though.

I thought Hammond's kick sent a water bottle spinning!

No harm in venting a bit of anger - at least he cares

He wasnt trying to kick the cone, it was a bottle.

Agreed, it looked like a bottle from my seat amongst the pensioner section of the North Stand (get me back to the South Stand, quick).

And to be fair, I did see a bottle tip over, ever so slightly, as Hammond swiped at it.

So he definitely made contact, albeit slicing it completely.

(Unlike his challenge for the second booking, which was unequivocally a dive by the Leicester player)

except for the fact that hume just tripped on his own ankle to go down with Hammond about two yards behind

The unforunate thing is that when a player runs across you invariably he is tripped, although perhaps not intentionally but it happens week in and week out and gets the offending player a booking.

The first booking I thought was bad as it happened right in front of me and the Leicester player (no 4) went down like he had broken his leg and as soon as the ref booked Hammond he got up and ran away he had achieved what he had set out to do.

To me that is totally wrong.

It was a very poor decision.he may have fouled the man but no way is that a second yellow. The sad thing is we can't appeal because it's two yellow cards.

"We're in trouble, but we've set some achievable goals," goalkeeper Wayne Henderson told BBC SCR.

"The whole standard in training has now upped to a new level. We need to wake up as a group."
