Well, he did f*** all to help Henderson when we conceded that penalty, and from what I saw, Mayo, Butters and Lynch were the nearest defenders.

The goalkeeper always gets slagged off, but the defenders not? How fickle.

But the bloke who put the ball in the net from the pen was around 10 yards INSIDE the box when the kick was taken - this AFTER the ref had told all the players to watch for the whistle and not encroach.

I don't really think you can blame the defenders too much, or Henderson for that matter.

And if Mayo and Butters really were the two players nearest, when the penalty was followed up, all credit to them at their age. Where were the other 8 younger, faster players? I actually thought hammond was pretty good yesterday. The thing I couldn't understand was that when Mayo came on, Deano seemed to be playing the holding role. When clearly his best position is bombing on from midfield not sitting deep.

I think Butters should be captain against West Ham - because I think it will give him more organisation to sort out the defence, because quite frankly he was turd against Carlisle and I believe they were yesterday as well.
