Hammond was WOEFUL today

Our central midfield was outbattled, out-thought and out ran today.

Hammond was feeble, he could have barely punched himself out of a paper bag. His distribution was woeful and he didn't seem fit.

One to forget:angry:

Only as woeful as Cox, Revell, Robinson and Gatting....

He does seem to let the ball run across him a little too much for my liking though

Good summing up dwayne. Our midfield went completely AWOL today.

Fraser was QUALITY in the middle, probably overshadowed Hammond.

God knows why he got moved out wide

i like hammond think he gets a lot of undue stick but his passing 2 day was awful time and time again he gave the ball away

Didn't think he was the worst. At times him and Fraser worked very well together. Get off his back.

Out of the midfield I thought cox was most disappointing. Hammond and Fraser worked really hard and covered a lot of ground after the dodgy spell that everyone had first 20 minutes.

IMHO the midfield was completly out of sorts and overrun during the first half but got it sorted in the 2nd half when we reverted to 4- 4-2. The man who we missed in midfield was El Abd as we had nobody to win the ball. I thought that Fraser was generally poor today, I usually like him, he won very little and with Hammond his distribution was below par. I thought that Sam Rents looked weak and exposed today also.

I think that the big mistake was not putting Lynch alongside Butters who appears to be getting much slower on the ground, probably due to the conditions, and restoring El Abd to midfield. As it happened El Abd was probably MOM for his display in the defence but we missed him in midfield. The 2nd mistake was not taking Revell off who had shown that he was winning nothing and given Nathan Elder the chance to make a name for himself.

I think Butters should be captain against West Ham - because I think it will give him more organisation to sort out the defence, because quite frankly he was turd against Carlisle and I believe they were yesterday as well.

Hammond is the captain and will be against West Ham.

I thought NSC had already had this discussion. Butters was our best defender by far against Carlisle. He was not 'turd' at all. If you don't understand the game, stick to discussing things you do. Lego perhaps? Or Scalextric?

Well, he did f*** all to help Henderson when we conceded that penalty, and from what I saw, Mayo, Butters and Lynch were the nearest defenders.

The goalkeeper always gets slagged off, but the defenders not? How fickle.
