Went there 20 years ago, and remember very little.

A dozen of us, all male, all about 50, are going there next weekend, and I'd welcome some ideas for decent bars (not on the Reeperbahn)

Wonderful city make sure you check out the schanze lots of restaurants and a really cool bohemian area. Make sure you check out a bar called zoe 1 and zoe 2 which is next door. Enjoy!

Sorry but this is on the Reeperbahn... but go to the Indri club if it is still there...that is where the Beatles played.....minus Ringo...Stuart Sutcliffe was at Art college there and part of the designer for the Beatles suits...I bought John Lennon a pint...tight git never bought one back....bless!

Also be sure to check out a bar called 20 up that is situated at the top of a hotel. Amazing views of the city.

Don't remember much went with two coach loads 55 brighton fans 2 palace 1 Millwall and two girls for one night on the way to copenhahagen to see England win 3-4 European nations cup Kevin Kegan played and some Hamburg fans followed Kegan after a further 3 nights in Denmark and one in Amsterdam on the way back a lot less Virgins on the bus. Oh and a few less passengers for various reason . Like to go back one day!

Went a few years ago with @turkey to the Fulham semi final and spent most of the 24 hours there drunk , think we went to football sometime during that 24hours but its hazy. There was a good English pub but couldnt tell you what it was called

Went there for a stag do with a load of other NSCrs of all ages. Get on the Riperbhann (so?) And you can't go wrong. Like all these places, watch out for the brasses on the street but if you can steer clear of them then you're in for a good trip. Make sure you venture into the city centre as well.
