In the summer.

Be interesting to see if this is the case or the club have just been putting feelers out for all those coming out of contract.

he also said an inquiry was made before the window closed and was rejected.

Probably.

As previously mentionned on here too - what on EARTH would Adie Hoofroyd want with Gary Dicker?

I do wish that Gus and Tony would sort out contracts for those who are nearing the end of their current ones, although understand they probably want to wait until the season is finished and we know for certain which div we'll be in...

On the plus side, even if we do end up losing a load of players this is the first time in ages we should have the money to bring in quality players in their place

Next season we'll have more fans, a better stadium in a better city, and a better football team than Coventry.

For those reasons, I just don't see it.

On the flip side, if we get promoted then the players will be after more money in their contracts so might be better to sort them out now as League 1 contracts.

If we get promoted we'll be in better shape financially than Coventry so I'd be surprised if they could offer Dicker a better deal. However he will be a free agent and he should do what's best for himself.

I'm pretty certain any contracts signed would include a pay rise if/when we get promoted. The players would be pretty daft not to insist on one.

Bully for his dad. So Coventry City had a look at him...

The difference between Coventry City wanting him and Coventry City getting him is MASSIVE.

Is it....blimey. thanks for that Al....on your period mate?

If we don't go up, Dicker will move on. IF we are promoted, and Gary Dicker ends up at Coventry rather than here, it will only be because:

1. The Albion did not WANT to meet his wage demands, and felt they could get better value elsewhere.

2. Gus has someone BETTER lined up.

He is right though, isn't he. If we get promoted, can you see any good reason why he'd move there? ???

He could be a big Specials fan I suppose, other than that I can't think of a good reason.

There is equally a world of difference between him saying to his son "We're watching him" and "We're signing him". It really isn't that far-fetched.
