I've been sure that Gus could bring success to our club since his first interview the day he was appointed. I'm certain he will get us promoted this season, so much so that my holiday this year was in Portugal to see the team play.

However, there are some players who Gus still needs to help understand the ethos of his passing game. Ankergren doesn't appear to know who Painter or Calderon are as he never passes is simple to them but rather favours hitting it long to Murray.

I'm also a little nervous when El-Abd has the ball, although he has had a few decent games of late. but my main concern is the poor decision making of Kishichev who often chooses a complicated pass which looses possesion rather than the others who seem to take the easy option and retain possession.

In summary Gus is a Legend! and will be taking us to the Championship

i dont get the legend bit??? why have we all reverted to 12 years old with this hero worship thing? He could be a legend thats for sure but i'm trying to balance this over the top legend thing? where did it all come from  after i made my kenny beamish scarf i sort of grew up a little and realised that these people are paid workers, when you meet past stars they tend to be very ordainary just like you and me:shrug: looking forward to the legend that is poyet living up to his status.good luck:thumbsup:

Your stomach acid must be a terrible burden to you, given the amount of misery and negativity you come up with...

i like his carlisle preview comment on bbc , he is obviously trying to put the wind up them.........definitely think some of you should chill the f*** out, seemed like a perfectly reasonable question to me.

i ask the question because i do not understand the legend tag so early,i assume that people were expecting too much from him,and just wanted an updated view. thats all:shrug:

What are the chances that I will EVER read one of your posts without a swear word in it? Not very mature I must say.

He's not a legend is he, really?
I hope he goes on to become a great manager, becuase that will hopefully mean that he did a great job while with us.
Promotion & good to watch football will make him a legend.

To me, legend describes Shanks, Clough, Dalgleish and god help me for saying it, but Fergie too and even Wenger
At the moment GP has massive potential . He's good, verging on excellent. If he's here in 5 years and we're in the Prem, then in my eyes he'll be elevated to legend status a la Mullery (1st time obviously! )

A legend isn't necessarily someone or something that is successful or good. The legend of something or someone is it's mythical status, the stuff of legends.

Poyet came in with the side firmly in the relegation battle, having gone to the wire the previous system.

His legend status to me, was established by the strength of his convictions of football played in the right way, and systematically changing the way the team played with the spectre of relegation hanging over him. He successfully steered the side away from the relegation zone, and ended the season in promotion form.

This season the side have clearly kicked on, and are one of the most feared in the league I would think.

I think it is incredible what he has done, and given everyone will remember the transformation from what was seen October 2009, to what was seen 2 months later and beyond, has assured his legendary status.
