Cardiff - Bellamy, Whittingham, Maynard, Helguson, Smith, Gunnarsson, Mutch, Kim Bo-Kyung, Velikonja, Noone, Mason those are just midfield-forwards

I don't think you have that kind of firepower/squad depth, there are about 2-3 more teams with similar strength too.

It's not just Cardiff - there are probably 6-8 teams who expect to get into the playoffs this season. Then there's another 6 (which include us) who hope to get into the playoffs. And most of those teams would love another quality striker. It's a tough league this year. I'm with the group of supporters who remember what it was like a few years ago. Yes it was frustrating at Blackpool yesterday, but it was only a few weeks ago I came out of the Burnley match full of elation when nothing looked like it could go wrong.

Thats the truth , for all the new players we are not improving

Arguably we're worse, the tactics are puzzling and many other teams in the division have improved their squads more effectively than we have. Without additions to the squad (centre forward + creative midfielder which will both cost mucho dinero unless from lower leagues which Gus won't do) we will finish lower mid-table. That said we have got Hoskins and Vicente in the wings but has Gus got over his hissy-fit with Hoskins and will Vicente ever play in the stripes again?

Does the opinion of someone who puts full stops at the end of his questions matter more than someone who played at the top level?

Harley McSmudger Dicker are not and never will be good enough Barnes may get better he is still young, we have now got Dobbie, Lopez Orlandi, Hammond and Crofty these are the players i am refering to

Please please please, can everyone stop with these Ashley Barnes is young stuff. He is 23 on Tuesday ffs and I know that sounds young(especially coming from a 41 year old) but in football terms this is not young. It's not as if he is 17/18 or even 19. That would be young. In terms of a striker Barnes should be approaching his prime in the next couple of years. I would suggest he will not get much better than what he is now. More experienced maybe, but not better.
