GP: "We came into the gamne on a good run with plenty of confidence and the team organised and after 5 mins everything goes away."

GP re red card: "Totally right." "He needed to control the ball better (Dunk) with the inside of the foot."

GP: "It was like everything was going against us today, so it's difficult to analyse."

GP: "It was a key moment (CMS). We knew we would have one or two chances and what a chance. If he'd scored it was a different game."

GP: "I'm sad for the fans. They wanted to see a good game of football. They couldn't."

GP: "The good thing is we don't have anyone to blame. We need to take it and learn from it, Dunky to learn from it."

He also said the fans could all see we tried our best today. Nothing about feeling sorry for them. I didn't think he sounded to bothered tbh.

IH: I'm sure Gus won't argue with the sending off. I'm pleased with how we controlled the team against a very good team.

IH: Glenn was ill this morning - he wasn't going to play - but I'm pleased we got him out there

IH: Was it a penalty or not, who knows? I thought the second one definitely was.

IH: (Murray) That's nine goals in six games he's got for me. He's very clever, I love clever footballers.

IH: "Never once did Brighton drop their heads. They're a terrific team and I've got the upmost respect for that man (Poyet).

IH on Poyet: I actually like him. So if that spoils the rivalry - I don't care!

That will upset all the people on the official match threat who were ranting on that Gus would blame the ref, bad luck, and everything else - anything but our / his fault.

.....and I rather like Olly! The rivalry is doomed (at last!)

Seems fair to me from both managers, although obviously some on here won't accept that as it doesn't fit their agenda.

What an absolute slippery snake he is. What he is saying is, "It's not my fault. I had them prepared (the truth is they were not prepared). After 5 mins everything I did had gone out of the window (so down to ten men he had no idea what to do.) We don't have anybody to blame, but CMS and Dunky. (always blames somebody else)" The man constantly shelves responsibility.

Time to stand up and be counted Poyet. If you're not up to it, do as you've threatened on more than one occasion, "go home."

That was probably the most least passionate Poyet interview I have ever heard. It's true I don't agree with a lot of what Gus says, but you can't normally fault his passion and the fact he wears his heart on his sleeve... Can across very deflated to me, which is more of a concern than when he throws his toys out of the pram....Message to Gus, this was the game to throw you toys out of the pram, not just bend over and take it up the arse.

Fair comments. As Gus said, all tactics and plans go completely out of the window after 5 mins. Ironic that the first sending off this season coincides with injuries to Painter, Bridge and El-Abd with no defenders on the bench.

Sounds like Gus is suffering from shell shock.

He had a go at the officials (nothing new there!) by saying the first penalty was 3yds offside (Incorrect Gus!).

He also said the squad fitness was suffering  Guess he mean't EL-Abd and Bridge?

And at these points he certainly gives the impression of a man who just 'sits back and lets it happen'.

Luckily we are not in those positions to often.
