Its pretty obvious that Gus wont be here much longer, he is off as soon as a decent offer comes along, and when he goes it will be because of the fans or because he didnt have enough money to spend, not because he is a disloyal w**ker.

Don't be so f***ing stupid, a few boos at half time aren't going to make him walk. He knows the vast majority of fans fully support him.

Which hopefully wont be for a long time yet and if it does happen he would probably put it down to ambition as he is and was aware of the financial situation and the fans booing is no different at any club.

But you weren't making a point - you were shit stirring. Gus, understandably, was upset that some idiots thought booing at half time - it's hardly a good way to encourage the team to play well in the second half. He's criticising the booing not preparing to make an exit.

So he's going to flounce out of here at the first sign of trouble, rubbish! He needs something good on his CV before he gets a better job than ours. Certainly not going to get a prem job until he has achieved something. Can't see any prem or even champinship chairmen taking a gamble on a third division manager who has done nothing yet. And if he can't take a bit of crticism after a poorish performance against such poor opposition, he might as well give up now, the bigger the club, the more pressure there is, and he needs to learn how to handle that pressure.

He needs to stay here, take us up and keep us in the Championship for a year, before there will be any serious job offers for him. Yes, bigger clubs will be keeping an eye on him, but he needs more experience before they will move after him.

I agree with the original post. Up until yesterday I thought he'd be around for quite while - end of the season minimum, but I no longer think so, and couldn't blame him at all. Judging by the number of vocal people unhappy on here since the game, I am not so sure most people are behind him.

I watched the second half yesterday on the web, and didn't think we played badly at all, and could easily have scored a lot more and delivered a different result. Unfortunately many people thought beforehand that we were going to win by double-figures.

In a masochistic way it will be quie funny to see everyone complaining once Gus is gone, we've got a nobody manager, and we're back to playing crap hoof-it football. These people will get what they deserve.

Dont be so sure. Gus is used to getting his own way and having the best of everything. We missed out on a player because of wage demands but the facts are that our playing budget is one of the biggest in this division, without having the income of some other clubs. Gus has done wonderfull things for this club so far but as yet has achived nothing. Brighton and Hove Albion gave Gus his first job, with a brand spanking new £98million pound stadium just months away. Every club has its moaners, thats a fact of life. Poyet has not had his hands tied in terms of players and finance. I am 100% behind Poyet and would be furious if he left but he does sometimes come across as a spoilt brat, who throws his toys out the pram everytime something goes against him. I think he needs to grow up a bit imho. If he were to leave there would be a queue from the palace peir to Falmer for his job and not just journeymen like Pardew and Dowie. They say be carefull what you wish for but that works both ways Mr Poyet. He needs us as much as we need him at the moment, a fact that he should not overlook.

The most curious thing..
Booing your own team (regardless of the performance) is plain stupid.

Well, we were a bit better in the second half, so you saw the best bit!

Yes, most fans expected us to win, after all FCUM are only 110 places below us. What's wrong going into a game expecting to win anyway?

Finally, in the unlikely event he left now, we certainly wouldn't end up with a nothing manager, top of the league and about to move to Falmer, we would be fighting of potential managers, not stuggling to find a decent one. Or are you saying that out of all the managers in professional football, Gus is the only one to play decent football?

.

So can I get this straight. You think it would be reasonable for Gus to walk because he got a few boos at halftime yesterday? You also think that because people are questioning playing a weakened team and are pissed off at the result that the fans are no longer behind him?

If so..please get a grip and stop being such a drama queen :lolol:

If he goes get another job then good luck to him. he has shown the fans of hoofing that yopu get top of the league by effective football and that is football where you pass, pass, pass and pass again, denying the other side of the ball. If only English coaches would take note then we might have the players to produce a decent England team who can pass the ball and then move into space to receive the ball back again. Somehow however I think Brighton are an attractive project for a new manager and so unless a club like Leeds or West Spam come in for him then he will stay

For f*** sake Gus gets justifiably upset by the booing crowd & all of a sudden he's preparring his exit. Get a grip!

What has changed since last Thursday, when Gus said something quite different to Seagulls Over London?

Booing your own team (regardless of the performance) is plain stupid.

Gus turned around and did a very scarcastic clap and look of unbelief. In footballing terms they had one atempt and scored we had multiple shots and our forwards were at fault.

He must dispair that 800 odd away fans can make such a racket for 90 minutes, and 5000 Albion fans only come alive when we score. Add that to a strike force not finishing, you can see why he is pissed off, top of the league, playing great football and cannot atract players due to riduculous wage demands.

Roll on Falmer
