I suspect Gus will win this. I also suspect had the two managers served their time with us the opposite way around, then Potter would win.

And to think the Luton fans have the audacity to accuse us of "forgetting where we came from", us.

Chance would be a fine thing.

I adored Gus at the time, but he dragged our club through the mud far worse than anything Potter did. If it were possible to run this poll 9 months after each had left the club, I feel the sentiment would be similar. As ever, time has passed and hard feelings towards Gus have faded.

Both draw specialists for much of their time with us.

But one stayed long enough to finally turn the draws into wins and get us to 4th in the Premier League. The other banged his head on an imaginary ceiling.

A recent podcast with Murray confirms my suspicion. Potter was superior in almost every way.

Potter, at least he respected us.

Poyet had ideas and self-belief way above his station and whenever Spurs or Chelsea manager was vacant would say "one day I would like to manage them", totally disrespectful to us.

Neither/both.

The pair of them did a decent job at progressing the club, gave us some good memories and left under a cloud.

Remains to be seen if it's the case with Potter, but Gus reached his ceiling (ironically enough) as a manager with us.

On the other hand, when Potter was given the opportunity to manage Chelsea, he couldn't leg it up there fast enough, totally disrespectful to us.

Maybe Potter was right about some of us needing a history lesson?

When did we finish 4th in the Premier League under Potter?
