there is one fundamental flaw in this article, Leeds simply do not have £2.5 million to spend.

cue tedious posts about Gus touting for jobs

Indeed.

Journalist: "Would you be interested in a better job than you have now, at a better company with better prospects and a big pay rise?"
Gus: "Yes, of course".
The usual NSC suspects: "Gus is touting himself around for a job again, he wants to leave, why doesn't he just **** off if he hates it so much here".

I often wonder whether these people have ever a) had a job or b) moved / been promoted to a better job. Because it would actually explain a lot if they haven't.

The bare fact of the matter is, Gus has turned down job(s) to stay with us.

Totally agree.

Warnock has mentioned that the names mentioned to replace him are ridiculous, due to the fact that there is no money for compensation.

I assume Gus is one of these manes.

And even if they could pay, FFP would mean 2.5 million out of their overall budget for next year, and 2.5 million into ours.

Just read one of the comments on that site, who are these divs?

"Poyet will be available come May! If your board is willing to give him the financial backing he needs to turn your club around he will jump at the chance of managing Leeds. Brighton will not get promoted this season as we are not quite good enough. The feeling down here is that Gus does not quite have the financial clout at his disposal that he needs to move our club forward. If you want a manager that gets his side playing good passing football then get him in. you might have to pay £2.5 m comp but with the players he can attract to your club, it would be worth it. He might even bring the likes of Ulloa, Bridge, Vicente and Bridcutt with him."

Sounds like a Palace Goon to me.
