According to somebody close to Charlie they, the 3 of them, have been sounded out about a job in the south somewhere and are very interested,but he would not say which club.

Funnily enough, the subject of Gus going to West Ham came up today at a press conference at another London club's training ground. GP definitely had contact with West Ham last summer when his stock was high after keeping Sunderland up but decided that leaving Sunderland so soon wasn't wise. But if they're determined not to give Big Sam another contract and look for someone to play a style of football more in keeping with the club's traditions, you could see why GP would appeal.

Now you might very well think that what happened at Sunderland this season would put Gold and Sullivan off, but remember that West Ham are the club that gave the abysmal Avram Grant another chance after he took Portsmouth down - and before anyone points out that Grant was hamstrung at the #twats by a points deduction and led them to the FA Cup final, his points-per-game record in the Premier League was worse than that of Paul Hart, the guy he replaced.

Brentford is an outside possibility, but GP was unhappy working with a director of football at Sunderland and Matthew Benham's insistence on that management structure has already provoked the departure of Mark Warburton.

Fulham is another possible - and, once again, there has been contact in the past - but that would mean sacking a popular ex-player, even if the narrowness of their escape means it wouldn't be completely out of the question.

QPR would be fun. And of course, Gus Poyet knows Les Ferdinand. And Charlie is a massive QPR fan. But Tony Fernandes seems to like Chris Ramsey.

There was talk about Sherwood wanting Ramsey in the AV setup. Either way QPR's hands may be too tied financially for Gus's liking, and on MOTD they were saying they could be candidates for a double drop.

It goes to show that football recruitment is a murky world where recruitment occurs well before the incumbent manager leaves.

Do Leeds have a leading goal scorer who will score 30 odd goals to take another club to the top flight (and keep them there) to give away for nothing? Do they also want to spend £2.5 Million on a bloke from Peterborough who runs around allot ? Perhaps they also have a couple of local youth team players to give away to to a club like Bournemouth for very little and they can also then watch them get promoted as well? Did Poyet make these decisions at Brighton? If so then smh. If not then who is going to stick their hand up and own up?

Would be interesting if he would take Bridcutt and Buckley to Leeds. I'm all for him getting the job, the potential Panto from it would be massive.

I can't see Buckley or Bridcutt leaving the Premiership for the Championship and Advocaat may yet still bring out the best in them.
Working for Poyet is one thing, but Advocaat has an international managerial reputation that Poyet can only dream of.
