I was so pissed off with his last few months here and am not a fan of his shenanigans but in this case he does have a point imo. His best players are being sold and no replacements are coming in. It sounds like a very different scenario to what happened here and I find myself sympathising with him

I met Gus the day he was appointed and I strongly believed he knew he stuff and had the ability to get us promoted to the Premier League. He made some significant changes behind the scenes and Bloom trusted him to help transform the club, then he upset Paul Barber who knew there were other young, enthusiastic and decent managers they could sign as a replacement.

Gus has since discovered that plenty of Chairman wish to run their clubs and although he is a valued part he isn't a vital part.

We may still have made it to the Premier League without ever having Gus but we wouldn't be anywhere near it without Bloom

I'm sorry, but would we be where we are without him?
He was just one small cog in a big wheel, but none-the-less, a very important piece that TB put together.
Yes he lost the plot etc at the end, but for a few good seasons he was up there with all our other heroes.

Right man for the right time, and that time ended around April/May 2013.

If it wasn't for his temperamental attitude, he would be a top manager.

I stood on the terraces at Peterborough for that game, and the chap next to me turned to me and said "are we dreaming?". Remember, we were top and Peterborough second, so it should have been a close game. Not even close. We hit the post twice and missed a penalty, and if we had won 6-0 it would not have been flattering. I remember smiling and having a warm feeling. After all the bad years, Gus did great things for us, and that cannot be erased.
