Today we celebrate Gus Poyet's three years with the Albion. During his three years of tenure he has obviously transformed the clubs fortunes & together the club is a very different animal to the one he join in November 2009.

I would say that he can on the whole only be congratulate for the success he's brought us, & be of so grateful for the new players he's managed to bring to the club. Who would have said back in October 2009 that would have the likes of Wayne Bridge, Vicente, Bruno, Kuszack, to name but a few, that these names would be playing for little old BHAFC by November 2012. NO ONE of course.

But his only one major mistake was not keeping Glen Murray with the club. Word has it we offer him £7,500 a week back in the summer of 2011, but our great enemy offer him £12,000 a week. Whether this was the case or not one think has been proved for no transfer money as Murray was out of contract Palace got him ridicurlously cheap & he has proved to be a massive lose. I'm sure now & again Gus must look back & think how many more goals would CMS have scored last season & this had Murray been holding the ball up for him in attack. Not to mention the amount of goals Murray would have scored himself. One thing Murray has always been is a goalscorer, he's done it in every League he's played in.

One thing is for certain, we wouldn't be still looking for that out & out goalscorer now had we kept him.
So many thanks Gus you are great & I'm sure you will continue to be so, but like all of us your not perfect. Lets hope by the end of the season we don't live to regret it & we see our great enemy take all the glory ???.

It's not replacing Murray which i find more frustrating then actually losing him. In fact it's the lack of strikers at the club which Gus has failed to rectify is our Achilles heel.

I agree that we should have kept Murray but we have discussed this to death on here. It pains me to see how he hits the back of the net every week for them and I always rated him as a player. Does anyone know who finances Palace at the moment as they suddenly seem to have a lot of money? Whatever they pay him he is well worth it.

We will never know only speculate how Murray would have fared for us had he stayed,i for one was always under the impression that Gus did not quite fancy him as a player at this level or a player to fit his style and Murray had possibly like a few times in the past, had his eyes turned elsewhere.

Perhaps things worked out for the best as Murray never really seemed settled here and i know it's painful to see him doing well (for now) at Palace.

Best £300,000 odd we have spent when we got Murray,he has gone and that's that- DEAL WITH IT!!

I am hoping that we have found a replacement at last in Dobbie. OK so he hasn't got the presence in the box that Murray had or the same defensive qualities. We don't miss GM too much in defence anymore and Dobbie has much better close skills and knows where the net is. We will continue to miss his heading ability but if Dobbie can start knocking them in we may be able to put this faux pas by Gus behind us. It seems Hoskins may also be given the chance now so things are perhaps looking better as both Dobbie and Hoskins are players more suited to Gus preferred style of play. We have missed Murray but let's move on.

I agree, instead of weeping and wailing about what's gone, let's hope the strikers we have can now perform. I think Dobbie will prove to be a success.

We've may have replacements already here. Dobbie and now a fully fit Hoskins.

Let's not live in the past people.

Could not agree more, Murray is history so look forwards not backwards

Hoskins as many have already mentioned was the original replacement striker-i really hope his woes are behind him now and we can move forward

When we signed him I was honestly more happy to have him as he was a much more talented striker than Murray. He plays a completely different style of football which no doubt gus saw in him at the time. Some of the games I saw him playing for rovers he looked a class apart. He scored against Cardiff last season when on for 15 minutes and had a contribution to the goal on Tuesday night. He seems to be over his injury and been through some very difficult personal times, I am excited about what he can now offer.
