For all the words written in this thread, it basically comes down to this. Amazing how people can make a judement when absolutely no evidence has been provided.

Actually, I forget. This is NSC. That's relatively normal.

I think that's the main point I'm trying to make.

That you can't pass judgement without evidence, but you CAN tend towards one side provided (what you feel to be) sufficient information.

I reckon there's enough there to lean me to one side, others on here don't. Some are claiming more information than others.

We have NO info on Gus and Barber's working relationship PRIOR to it all kicking off. We're only looking at the after effects of an explosion - we have NO clue as to what CAUSED it.

Exactly why I'm making inferences about the explosion itself and not the relationship.

The explosion is pretty much meaningless without knowing what caused it. We're all looking one step too far. It's like trying to prove a murder without looking into the motives whatsoever - was it manslaughter? was it self defence? It's as if we're counting all of those out already. Yes, it looks like Gus did wrong, but WHY? He had a plum job here and seemed very happy, why did he suddenly desperately want to leave?

I can't understand why he want to leave in July last year, we had just signed Bridge and TK, then all his signings at the end of August plus he had Ulloa in January, makes no sense

MARCH. He wanted to leave in March.

Just far enough away from LDC
MARCH. He wanted to leave in March.

Ernestis referencing a comment from me where I said I wouldn't be surprised if from last July he wasn't happy and it became clear he may leave

You are correct that it was in march that he advised he would be going

You are correct that the club claim he advised them he was leaving in March - it is also correct that GP denies this

There is no way I am going to, in TLO's words, betray the confidence of my source, by sharing the 'dirty laundry' in a public forum. Even if that means you think I'm a liar. I'm not.

Fair enough. You will have to keep what you know to yourself. Your source is clearly ' close to home ' and in a sensitive position and you don't want to betray their confidence.
We have all got to be careful about speculating but I believe that some of us are privy to information that is not totally in the public domain. I have recently been made aware of certain things and to be honest, if I can find this out, then surely BHA and Gus Poyet must realise that certain information will ' leak out '
It is not from someone ' close to home ' but they do work in the football industry. They are well connected and have no reason not to tell the truth.
Who was it that said..." why let facts get in the way of a good story "

No, no you're not. I'm interested to hear Gus' side of the debacle. A small part of me wants a court case so that we can find out all the details - I have no doubt both sides were to blame. Of course that will make me a bad fan because the club can do no wrong and Gus was a disloyal tosser - it really IS that black and white you know !

Well said. There are two sides to this story and so far we have really only heard one.
