At Home
does that mean we have to change the words of OGH

Por-hyet ... with a sharp, sibilant intake of breath before the 'hyet'.

But remember ... "The nature of sibilants as so-called 'obstacle fricatives' is complicated - there is a continuum of possibilities relating to the angle at which the jet of air may strike an obstacle. The grooving often considered necessary for classification as a sibilant has been observed in ultrasound studies of the tongue for supposedly non-sibilant [θ] voiceless alveolar non-sibilant fricative".

As Gus says ... "is complicated".

Love the way we find out how to pronounce his name 20 odd years into his career!

Well I think it only fair that we should pronouce it correctly. It's rude not to.

Would you though Edna?

Despite the primate-looks, I'd have to say yes just BECAUSE he's Gus. Even you lot would.

But I'd rather it was Glenn, or even better the LOVELY Gordon Greer.

Do we think Gus dyes his hair? A man in his mid forties, with not a grey hair in sight? :lolol:

Mid? How old is Mr PoyCHET? I thought he was only 41. Could be wrong though.

What a magnificent post!
Being male, I just thought Mr Greer was a large, but amiable, Scotsman.

I would say RUGGED

I like rugged.
