Reading Chairman to Tony - "Please could we talk to Gus ?"
Tony - "Yes"
The worlds press and idiots on NSC - "Gus is going to talk to Reading"

There is a world of difference between being given permission and actually talking to Reading !

I wouldn't believe it if you told me, but clearly people do genuinely believe the crap Talksport and SSN put out there.

Brighton factually.....
Reading have asked to speak to Gus, he may even turn that offer down. Its upto him its his job he is a football manager he is bound to go at some point he has also done more than the 50% you say. Gus Poyet owes us nothing other than a thank you for helping him get on the football managers ladder, we have gained so much from him being here.

I for one am not in the " If you dont love me, I wont love you camp" how very grown up.

T2 - classic film not directed by Spielberg. Why so many people deride T3 I can never understand - to me it is also a top, top film.

I agree T3 is very underated imo.

I've always got the feeling that, whilst giving BHA 100%, his ambition is a bigger club. Nothing wrong with that except he says so in every interview. If told 'your name is linked with Chelsea' his reply, rather than saying 'I'm honored' goes along the lines of 'I want to manage a big club'. Brighton are not a big club, but then again there are only about eight big clubs in the Premier League. The top seven Championship teams could hold their own in a league with the bottom ten PL teams. But Gus wants better.

Hi guys suppose I'm Gus Poyet and I have read about all this on the beach in Barbados on my Iphone.

In certain circumstances, I have allowed players to 'talk' with other clubs as why should I (or the club) stand in the way of their future progression. By doing so, it allows individuals the opportunity to see what is on 'the other side' and in many instances they have thought about it and decided things aren't too bad here. Accordingly, some of those have become even more loyal and committed to the club.

It is the same for me, so somebody wants to talk to me and it would be churlish to decline the opportunity as it demonstrates to me what is available/on offer and also it is something of a scouting mission.

Now when I come here three and one half years ago, we were where we were. Playing football in an athletics stadium in front of 3/400 thousand dedicated fans. There was a vision at that time of a new stadium and I chose to take up the challenge and things have moved on a bit since then.

New stadium fantastic, things not too bad on the playing front and a new training/academy on the near horizon. OK, we may not quite make the play offs this season but we will be close, but, on the other hand, we could be promoted to the Premier League. Given these considerations and if I took the job, even if it was offered, I may feel a bit stressed to be passing Reading FC on their way down but it would be rude not to talk and would also show what a top man Tony is, a chairman who gives me much freedom and support. By the way look at what they did to BM !

You are all enthusiastic fans so What would you do ?

Surely the title should be 'Gus - IF you don't want to be with us I don't want you'.

Or even 'Gus - IF you don't want to be with U.S.* I don't want you'

* Uncle Spielberg.
