My point was I don't think signing a striker is going to make any difference. You said 'that money' as if there was only a certain sum available and we have used it all.

We did need another striker. Forster can't be expected to play 70+ minutes a game for the rest of the season and the only other reserve is Dickinson or Hart. He seems to be a replacement for Forster and Murray/Dickinson are of a similar breed of striker. I don't think it is a case of buying a midfielder and THEN a striker. You take what is available at the time.

I not suggesting you go out and look for a midfielder. I am sure we have been searching, but there in no point buying any old sailor just to appease the fans. What if the right players are not available to us? It is not just a case of throwing money at someone.

Well I'd imagine we don't have an unlimited supply of money, and considering Bloom has said that he doesn't like doing business in January I'd imagine the figure we have is very low, so every penny counts.

I don't think we do. Forster might not be able to last 90 minutes of every game anymore, but I think Dickinson is good enough to play 15/20 minutes if he has to, and Hart wouldn't be a disaster either, as he proved last season. 5 strikers is ridiculous for a league one side, especially one in our current league/financial position.

We have two days left in the transfer window, and to be honest there doesn't really seem to be any activity in terms of midfield strengthening which is what I think we need more than anything. Seb Carole on a weekly contract cannot be described as an improvement. In fact he seems to me to be someone we've just thrown money at to appease the fans, as technically he is a midfielder we have signed in this window.

Well that's good Tony, because it's going to mean a £90 million investment wasted on a League 2 team.

Let's be honest here, the defence is wank and the midfield is worse, - without service the forwards won't score.

Only one way we're going.

I went to the game today and I think you did too. Can you honestly say the defence was wank today apart from the once in a season mistake Virgo made? I also thought the midfield looked OK, although they missed Navarro in the second half, the only criticism I would have of the midfield is they didn't get the ball out wide enough.
We matched Millwall and but for one mistake would have got a draw and perhaps even a win today.

Isn't Bloom in Oz, playing cards and showing his parents and grandad the sights of Melbourne? I imagine the reason he doesn't like doing business in January is that he's not here.

WW, I will bet a LARGE amount of money with you that we won't go down this year. The away form will continue to be as excellent as it has been, and the home form will slowly pick up.
ditto above,im up for a bet too
