We have been psychologically prepared for warfare since the beginning of mankind. Now it’s guns, not rocks. It’s hugely troubling to me, and we’re all groomed in “the American Way.”
I try to keep my youngest away from overly violent stuff, on TV or in the form of video games. However, at the age of 7 he can identify a bazooka, a sniper rifle, a pistol, a rocket or missile from a grenade.
We’re effectively psychologically prepared for warfare from childhood onward, and it sickens me.
Apart from the armed guards at the schools wonderful place. We have been psychologically prepared for warfare since the beginning of mankind. Now it’s guns, not rocks.
Interestingly, we recently bought a small farm in a small town in Missouri where my eldest and his wife and kids are now living. EVERYONE owns guns, but there is no crime to speak of. Residents don’t even bother to lock up their homes or vehicles at night.
And what is the name of this mystical, crime free town perchance? We have been psychologically prepared for warfare since the beginning of mankind. Now it’s guns, not rocks.

Bowling Green, a little on the outskirts. And what is the name of this mystical, crime free town per chance?
Bowling Green, a little on the outskirts.
Not perfect, by any stretch…
This is not satire.
It’s from a country where millions believe Trump as president is a great idea.
Zero tolerance - that’s comfortingWe have been psychologically prepared for warfare since the beginning of mankind. Now it’s guns, not rocks.

Kids firing 9mm submachine guns ffs
I am literally scared of these kids right now.
Maybe it’s people who are the real problem. If you owned a gun (do you?) I would not expect you to use it indiscriminately. You would use it to protect your loved ones though…Zero tolerance - that’s comforting
Guns are totally safe until being held by dangerous idiots. Unfortunately this accounts for most Americans.Maybe it’s people who are the real problem. If you owned a gun (do you?) I would not expect you to use it indiscriminately. You would use it to protect your loved ones though…
This is a road I maybe should have stayed off…
Yeah but this would never happen in Bowling Green Missouri because the group in front would have all been armed aswell.I worked in various cities in America for BA In just a few weeks I witnessed a guy being shot by police in the street in Galveston, an armed robbery in LA and to top it all a few of us went to play Putt-Putt in Austin. It was shut. We found out an argument had ensued in the morning resulting in one "player" shooting one of the "players" In the group in front of him. Putt-Putt FFS.
Yes…Yeah but this would never happen in Bowling Green Missouri because the group in front would have all been armed aswell.
Blood bath on the 8th holeYeah but this would never happen in Bowling Green Missouri because the group in front would have all been armed aswell.
Putt-Putt For The Fun Of It.Yes…
Ah, the standard NRA/Republican/2nd Amendmenter‘s argument . ‘Guns aren’t the problem, it’s the people that use them that make them bad’Maybe it’s people who are the real problem. But it doesn’t happen though.Putt-Putt For The Fun Of It.
